His first weekend out, his first time in the ring he took Best of Breed over two stunning adult male specials! He went on that day to take a Group 4 and a Best Puppy in Group. He came home from his first weekend of showing with half the points he needs for his championship!

It was a very busy weekend, so we had to grab photos the day I picked him up. Noreena is a rockstar handler, and best of all she cares for the dogs like her own. I am so happy that she is taking Cian out on the road.

I took Cian for his Herding Instinct test on June 9th. He was thoughtful, respectful, and had so much fun! My very talented friend Lynne Penner took the following few photos for me to document the day.

When I brought Cian (pronounced key-ann) home I told my family it was time for a little more black in my life. It is so intersting how life goes. I began my journey in Aussies with a black tri and a red merle, and I’m back to a red merle and a black tri in the house. I fell in absolute love with his Great-Grandfather (who was a puppy at the time) years ago at the first National I went to watch. I am thrilled beyond measure that Sophie and her partner have trusted me with this stunning little man. He is showing good instinct in scent detection, and is quickly becoming a go-everywhere-do-everything dog.

Five months and looking kind of gangly, but I can see the beautiful boy he’s going to be.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of his breeder’s tragic passing in late January. Sophie, we’re going to make you proud!
